If you are an Autodesk AliasStudio user for 2D hand sketching or use other drawing programs like Autodesk Sketchbook Pro the new Wacom Cintiq direct pen on screen tablets are a must have. They recently came out with a smaller version that cost $999 which is less then half the orginial one cost and let me just say it is perfect!!! I ordered one for work and used it a little over the holiday and damn is it nice. Here is the website for the new device.

There is a new trend forming around using on screen pen devices like the Apple Touch iPod and these devices. You are starting to see them show up everywhere now and even Dell just came out with their first tabel PC recently. These are going to be and are today perfect for red line change notes and initial concept drawings.
Here is an example of using a pen with Autodesk Design Review for red line markups.
Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to provide more information on this later on with some examples.

Hello Dan, I am interested in using the Cintiq 12WX with AutoDesk Design Review. I was sad to see that the YouTube video you embedded is not longer working. Do you know if the Design Review FREEHAND tool works while using the Cintiq as the input device? Thanks.

Jason,
You can use the Wacom tablets like the cintiq with Design Review just like a mouse. You can not use any of the advance features but it does work like a mouse so I think that will help you out.
